Chapter One Summary[]
In chapter one, we meet the main characters. Lennie and George get described a little and we find out that Lennie has a mental disorder and George is his care taker. George prepares supper for the two of them and Lennie asks George for ketchup and that upsets him. George begins to get upset and talks about how much better off he would be if he didn’t have to take care of Lennie. Lennie offers to go but George refuses. George tells Lennie that if he gets into any trouble then he is supposed to come out to where they are camping and hide in the brush until he comes to get him.
